02/11/2009 - Two New Site Acquisitions takes Just Car Clinics to 25 Strong Milestone

Just Car Clinics has expanded its network and position as the UK’s second largest independent collision repair chain with the acquisition of two further branches in Redditch and Stourbridge.

The business had recently slowed it’s expansion strategy, focussing on developing the customer experience and additional services in its existing network but with the recent announcement that Richmond Motors had gone into administration, the Just Car Clinic Board took the opportunity to extend their Midlands sales area with these two new sites. Redditch and Stourbridge perfectly compliment existing sites at Banbury, Swindon and Hinckley, creating a strong cluster of Car Clinics, essential to the expanding network.

Collectively both sites employ 31 local people, all of whom, with both General Managers, will remain with the businesses and join the Just Car Clinics team. Both sites will now undergo a 12 week period of development and integration adopting Just Car Clinics’ operating procedures and core values, ensuring the change process is quick, effective and with minimum disruption to customers. The buildings will be re-branded to Just Car Clinic’s striking lime brand identity and tools, equipment and facilities will be replaced or improved where necessary.

Commenting on the expansion of the Network, Chief Executive Barry Whittles said:

These acquisitions compliment our growth strategy to operate sites within close proximity to each other and are ideally located to infill and develop our presence in the Midlands region. Both acquisitions were supported by important corporate clients, who were keen for Just Car Clinics to take over these businesses. Incorporating these sites was an easy decision for us given the excellent teams already in place who operate with a working culture similar to our own.
