04/01/2009 - JCC launches list of top 10 road safety tips for Winter on website

Just Car Clinics (JCC), the UK’s second largest independent collision repair chain, has launched a list of top 10 tips for Winter driving which can be found on the homepage of its website.

The group, which has 23 branches nationwide, places emphasis on not only getting those back on the road who have been unfortunate enough to have a collision, but also on making sure they’re equipped with all of the right safety information to help ensure there is less chance of it happening again. 

The initiative follows on from JCC’s recent announcement of its nominated charity for 2009, which is road safety charity Brake. Brake runs national campaigns to encourage people to be more careful and considerate drivers, as well as supporting the families of those involved in road traffic accidents and running education and awareness campaigns. 

Every Winter, JCC sees an increase in the number of people needing their vehicles repairing. Its top 10 tips for drivers this Winter include advice such as “allow at least 230 metres stopping distance in icy conditions”. 

Barry Whittles, Chief Executive of JCC, said: “Although the Just Car Clinics business is based on repairing vehicles affected by collisions, we are proud of the fact that our philosophy is to not only help people get back on the road, but to help them stay back on the road. We hope that once we have sent a customer on their way, they won’t be returning anytime soon unless it for a minor bump or scrape.”
