10/12/2007 - Team expansion on cards after York promotions
Just Car Clinics’ York branch is about to enter a new era following the internal promotion of two long-standing employees.Kevin Drury has been promoted to General Manager while Paul Richardson is taking up the role of Assistant Manager & Workshop Controller at the busy branch.
Kevin, who started work with JCC as an apprentice, is delighted with his rise through the ranks. He is now hoping that, working together with Paul, he can add to the team at the North Yorkshire city.
Kevin said: “This is a great opportunity for me. Both Paul and myself have been with the company for some time and have worked together in different roles for around five years. We’ve developed a strong team spirit in that time and both come up with ideas together to drive the branch forwards.”
Currently, the York branch consists of five panel beaters and five paint technicians. Kevin expects those numbers to grow.
He said: “We’re working to secure further contracts and that will mean expanding the team. There is a skills shortage in the region but we will look as far afield as necessary to recruit if we need to. Both of us have a lot of industry contacts so we will certainly be able to recruit the right personnel.”
Barry Whittles, JCC’s chief executive, said: “Kevin has worked with the company for a long time, joining us as an apprentice and Paul has also been here for a lengthy period. The promotion recognises the commitment of both of these employees and the role they continue to play in the JCC success story.”
