03/12/2007 - Pioneering approach to customer communication results in top business award for Just Car Clinic

Just Car Clinic (JCC) has scooped a prestigious business award. The company, which is the second largest branded chain of collision repair centres in the UK, bagged the Communications Technology in Business Award at the Hull Daily Mail’s Mail Business Awards held at the Willerby Manor Hotel in Hull on Thursday (November 29th) night.

 

The accolade follows the launch of a pioneering IT system that keeps customers, insurers and brokers in touch with the progression of their individual vehicle repairs.

 

The arrival of an e-mail from satisfied clients triggers a positive message at head office while a message of dissatisfaction generates a negative sound.

 

JCC’s online InTouch customer information check allows customers to confirm that the progress of their vehicle repair is on track from their own home computer.

 

The company was awarded the honour in front of an audience of more than 250 guests at the black tie ceremony. Guests included the Bishop of Hull, the Right Reverend Richard Frith, and Health Secretary and Hull West and Hessle MP Alan Johnson.

 

JCC faced stiff competition in their section, vying for the prize alongside Digital Connections (UK) Ltd and Trident UK.

 

The award was presented to JCC’s Chief Executive Barry Whittles and Training and Development Manager David Hall.

 

Barry Whittles said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been presented with this award. Receiving the accolade of Communications Technology in Business Award is the icing on the cake following the hard work that we have undertaken in the past 12 months launching the new system.

JCC has a turnover of approximately £36 million and currently employs over 600 people across 20 branches nationwide.
