02/05/2007 - JCC makes internal promotion to fill vital financial role as group expands

A leading collision repair chain has announced an employee’s internal promotion for its group financial controller post, as the organisation rapidly expands across the UK.

JCC, the second largest independent collision repair chain, has appointed Mike Crow to the post, which will see him ensuring the same practices are rolled out across all 18 branches and in new sites as the group grows.

Mr Crow, 40, joined JCC in 2004 as management accountant, which saw him producing management accounts for both Sheffield sites, Doncaster and Scunthorpe. More recently, he has been at the forefront of putting procedures in place from an administrational and financial point of view at new sites such as Durham, Hartlepool, Scarborough, Ilkeston and Grantham.

“It’s important that all staff are fully conversant with JCC’s standard systems and processes, particularly as we acquire new sites and employees,” said Mr Crow.

“I am responsible for developing the accounts teams, both existing and at the new sites and ensuring there is operational consistency across all of the branches. I am looking forward to taking on this new role and further developing my career with JCC.”

Mike will also join the Operational Management Team to ensure that full consideration is given to the financial and cash management aspects of all decisions.

“Mike has done an excellent job since joining JCC,” said Barry Whittles, JCC’s chief executive. “With the continued expansion of JCC, it is pleasing to be able to fill this important new position by continuing our culture of recognising talent and promoting from within.”
