Just Car Clinics announces £200,000 investment in Scarborough with the opening of its fourteenth site.

Just Car Clinic (JCC), the UK’s second largest collision repair chain, has today announced a £200,000 investment in Scarborough, with the opening of a new branch and the chain’s fourteenth site.

The announcement was marked by the erection of JCC’s trademark bright green livery at the former plastics factory on Dunslow Road, which will soon be transformed into a state-of-the-art collision repair centre.

The Yorkshire-based company, which has recently moved its head office and support centre from York to Goole, currently has 13 sites based throughout the Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire regions. The opening of a car clinic in Scarborough will see the company expand even further into North Yorkshire.

With a 400-strong team of staff, JCC turned over £25m last year and repaired more than 25,000 vehicles. This is the first step of Just Car Clinic’s expansion plan which will see a structured growth of the group over the next three years.

As well as representing a major boost for the local economy, with an initial investment of £200,000, the company will also offer up to 20 employment and apprentice opportunities to the local workforce and is currently on a recruitment drive to employ a team of receptionists, panel technicians, painters, estimators and delivery drivers. Managers Paul Waites will open and operate the site whilst the company looks for a talented local manager.

Barry Whittles, Just Car Clinics’ Chief Executive explained: “We are delighted to have acquired a site in Scarborough and hope to have it fully operational by the end of October.

“This expansion means that we can service a wider area across Scarborough and North Yorkshire and we are looking forward to working with both new and existing customers in this area. We currently work with all of the major UK insurance companies and a location in Scarborough will offer added convenience for all our customers.”
