17/08/2006 - JCC wins group wide contract to be part of Fortis solution centres

Just Car Clinic (JCC), the UK’s second largest collision repair chain, is celebrating after winning a contract which will see the whole group acting as a named repairer for Fortis Insurance Limited (FIL).

The contract win is the result of a three year-strong relationship between JCC and the national insurer and will see its 12 sites – based throughout the Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire regions – working closely with Gloucester-based FIL on thousands of its motor insurance claims each year.

JCC, which turned over £25m last year and employs 405 people, is delighted to be one of only 88 repairers to have been selected following a nationwide tendering process. FIL has scaled down the number of approved repairers it uses for its motoring division to provide a more bespoke service to its policy holders.

Before now, only six of JCC’s sites carried out work for FIL and they alone repaired a massive £2.7m worth of business in 2005. The new contract is part of FIL’s Solutions Centres initiative, which was launched a year ago to build up a network of the best like minded repairers across the country – they started off with over 200 and now JCC’s Managing Director Barry Whittles is delighted to be one of the few companies awarded a new contract.

He said: “We are naturally over the moon that all 12 of our sites have been selected as approved repairers for Fortis, it’s a pleasure to work with a company of their size and with such a renowned reputation.

“Fortis put the contracts out to tender in order to ensure they are working with the highest calibre of repairers and the most strategic partners – we are proud to have been selected. As an organisation, JCC is very flexible across the board which I believe is one of the reasons we can service this client so well – we offer much more than just a repair service.

“Having always enjoyed a strong working relationship with them, the fact that all of our sites will now be approved repairers for FIL can only strengthen this even further.”
